Meeting Notes September 2020

Apparently a few people didn’t receive the email with the Zoom link. As a result, a few were late and others who had signed up didn’t make it. In addition, Jacquie had just returned from vacation and was so busy playing catch-up that it slipped her mind. We therefore decided to postpone the scheduled topic until October and just do some casual networking.
Changes to Meeting Registration Process
To simplify things going forward, the following changes have been or will be made shortly:
- As long as we are meeting virtually, it’s not necessary to have a head count. Therefore, only guests will be required to register on the website. We will use the same Zoom link every month and make it available to members.
- Our Facebook group will be switched to active members only. We can therefore post the Zoom link there for easy access. This will also allow us to share resources and discussions we may not wish to have with members of the general public, something we’ve missed since transitioning away from Wild Apricot.
We talked about including the Zoom link in the Add to Calendar button and only making it available once someone has registered, but I’ve decided to scrap that feature altogether as it will save me a lot of time when creating the events. We can revisit it again in the future if you feel it’s important.

The next three meetings have been posted on the website, and registration is open.
